As an LIU employee you are entitled to the benefits of the MetroTech BID ValueCard Program!  

The MetroTech BID ValueCard Program, a free program to MetroTech BID area employees and university students, is a joint venture between the BID and its merchants.  The program is intended to provide the community of the MetroTech area with shopping discounts not available to the general public. The Brooklyn Campus of LIU is part of the MetroTech BID community.    

Just next door at Applebee’s, you can get a 10% discount on all food and soft drink orders, but not alcoholic beverages.  Other area merchants in MetroTech also participate in the ValueCard Program offering discounts in dry cleaning, ladies wear, jewelry, wigs, carwash, hair salons, hardware, flowers, and even auto driving lessons. The current 60 participating ValueCard merchants are mostly located on Willoughby Street and its side streets (Duffield, Bridge, Lawrence and Jay) on the other side of Flatbush Ave.  You can also access participating merchants and their discounts on our website or an updated list can be e-mailed or faxed on request by calling 718-488-8200.  We encourage you to also call for any questions or comments.  

Whether you are a Full-time or Part-time employee of LIU’s Brooklyn Campus, you are eligible to receive and use a ValueCard.  Pick up a ValueCard from Nanette Fuentes, in Room M408A, 718-488-1421.
