 Women’s Basketball to Host St. Francis in 14th Annual Battle of Brooklyn
The Long Island University women’s basketball team will host local rival St. Francis (N.Y.) in the 14th Annual Battle of Brooklyn on Thursday night at the Wellness, Recreation and Athletic Center. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
The Blackbirds currently hold possession of the Battle of Brooklyn trophy after a 64-52 win at St. Francis last season. Since the inception of the annual clash of the two Brooklyn-based teams, Long Island has built a narrow 7-6 edge in the series.
The Blackbirds are coming off a 67-63 win at Dayton and will look for their sixth consecutive victory when they host the Terriers on Thursday night.
