Disaster Preparedness Symposium
To strengthen disaster response and emergency preparedness among health care workers, the School of Nursing (SON) convenes this symposium twice each year. SON students and faculty members and members of the nursing staff from Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn participate in drills and briefings to prepare for potential
dangers for the community. Symposia are supported with funding from the John P. McGrath Fund.
For information, contact Dr. Mary Ireland at (718) 488-1517. Disaster Preparedness Symposia are free and open to nurses in the community as well as to nursing students and other members of the Campus.
