What majors are offered at LIU?
LIU offers an array of majors.  Most popular majors include: Pharmacy, Nursing, Psychology, Accounting, and Education. 

What are some degree programs?
77 Bachelors, 88 Masters, 8 dual (bachelors/masters), and 5 doctoral.

How many credits are needed to graduate?
Most majors require a minimum of 128 credits.

What is the HEOP program?
HEOP is a New York State-funded program that supports five years of undergraduate study.  HEOP is specifically designed for entering freshmen that are educationally and economically disadvantaged and provides tutoring, counseling, and supplementary financial aid (i.e.: tuition assistance, book vouchers).  

What is the Honors Program?
The Honors Program at Long Island University accepts incoming freshmen, transfer students and those already enrolled at the Brooklyn Campus. Selection is based on ones academic record and an interview. High school applicants with above an 85 average and/or an SAT score of 1050 are eligible.
