What NCAA division is LIU?                                                                                                         
All teams compete on the Division I level and are members of the NCAA’s Northeast Conference.  Sports teams include men & women’s basketball, soccer, golf and indoor/outdoor track and cross-country.  Women’s teams also include lacrosse, volleyball, tennis and softball.  Men’s teams also include baseball. 

What parties or events do you have on campus?
Most parties are held in either the Avena Lounge or Luntey Commons located in the Metcalfe Hall building (M-building) on campus.  Parties are usually organized by SGA (Student Government Association) or by various clubs/organizations on campus with Student Activities.Evening intramurals are sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and are held between 8-10:30pm Monday- Thursday.  Students can enjoy activities such as, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Karate.  The Avena Lounge, located in the M building basement, also has board games, pool tables, table tennis, and other activities for students.

Who are the Blackbirds?
The Blackbirds are Long Island University’s sports teams. We have 17 NCAA Division Sports teams, such as (list teams)

What programs or clubs are available at LIU?
There are over 50 clubs available on campus.  (i.e. Seawanhaka -the student run newspaper, Honors, Chorus, WLIU, Caribbean Students Movement, Pharmacy Associations, Accounting,  etc.)
