Ridgewood/Bushwick
East New York
Bedford-Stuyvesant/ St. Christopher Ottilie

YOU CAN DO IT …. We can help!

We are entering our 15th year as an integral part of several communities in Brooklyn, offering pathways to academic and career success.

Going back to school can be difficult if you are already working full-time, have a family, or are balancing both but earning your college degree can open the doors to so many new personal and professional opportunities.

  • Earn your two-year Associate’s degree at any of the three sites listed above. Study English and Sociology, build your oral communications skills, learn about personal computers and so much more! This broad educational foundation will prepare you for new career options and continued studies at the baccalaureate level in a more specialized area of interest at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus, located in Downtown Brooklyn.
  • Earn your Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or Childhood Urban Education at the Ridgewood-Bushwick site. If you are eligible you may continue on for your Master’s degree at the Brooklyn Campus.

Classes at all locations are conveniently scheduled to fit your busy lifestyle. You may choose to attend classes full-time, generally Monday-Thursday evenings, 6:00-10:00 p.m., and Saturday mornings, or opt for a lighter part-time schedule. Our supportive faculty and counselors are always available to help get you started and keep you motivated and focused. Best of all, the Extension Program provides you with the highest quality education, facilities and resources of Long Island University, the seventh largest private University in the country. The University offers a special grant to both part-time and full-time students, which can significantly reduce your tuition costs. The actual dollar amount of this grant is dependant on eligibility for Federal and N.Y. State grants.

Applications for admission are available at each of the three Extension sites. If you are interested in enrolling in one of our programs, simply provide proof of secondary school graduation or equivalency in the form of an official transcript or GED score sheet to the coordinator of the Extension program which you are applying.

Applications are processed on a rolling basis through the start of each semester. Our admissions experts are always available to answer your questions.

We are pleased to be able to offer you this wonderful opportunity, and proud to be an educational partner in your community and in your life.
