Educational Outreach: How to Start a Career in Computers

How to Start a Career in Computers, sponsored by the School of Continuing Studies, offers free one-session evening seminars to adults throughout the metropolitan area. This program is currently in its third year and hosts 100-130 participants each semester.

Participants learn about rapidly growing careers in computers, as well as certificate programs offered by the School of Continuing Studies that can help them prepare for these careers. Instructors are on hand to discuss how participants can learn new job skills and make career transitions. These seminars are offered at the start of each semester, including summer.
