Employee Assistance Professional Certificate Program

Employee Assistance Professionals (EAPs) work in a variety of settings providing assistance to work organizations in addressing productivity issues. They also help employees in identifying and resolving personal concerns that may affect job performance such as: health, marital problems, family, finances, alcohol and/or drug use, legal problems, emotional stress or other personal issues. EAPs provide expert consultation and training to organization managers and union officials seeking to manage troubled employees, enhance the work environment and improve employee job performance.

The EAP Certificate Program has been approved by the Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC) and provides you with 60 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) that meet the education requirement to be certified as an Employee Assistance Professional (EAP). This program also meets the needs of CASAC counselors, social workers and professionals in the field of human resources seeking specialization, and continuing education and recredentialing credits.

If you are already a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, the EAP Certificate Program will provide the Professional Development Hours required to recertify.

This program is offered throughout the semester. However, a prospective student must register for EAPX 101 and EAPX 102 at the same time.
