Information Management Seminars
The
School of Continuing Studies offers seminars in the field of Health
Information Management. They are designed to prepare the student for
the workplace.
Faculty
Instructional staff are trained Health Information Managers experienced
in all phases of processing medical and health care delivery data.
They are employed in a wide variety of professional settings, including
hospitals, ambulatory care facilities and physicians' offices. They
also have experience teaching adults.
Employment
The Medical Terminology and ICD-9-CM Coding classes
have been designed to prepare you to pass the entry level personnel
exam used to qualify for employment at a hospital or other health

Certified Procedural Coding Review (MRCX
900)
This review
course prepares you to sit for the American Academy of Procedural
Coders Examination. It is strongly recommended that students sitting for the CCS and CPC-H examinations take the Health Care Procedure Coding System (MRCX 310). (20 hours)
Prerequisite: MRCX 300.
