This surgical technology
preparatory program is designed for graduates of Commission on Accreditation
of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited surgical
technology programs. It is an intensive and condensed review of
the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to successfully
pass the Liaison Council on Certification for Surgical Technologist
(LCC-ST) Certification Exam.
Often graduates of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program
allow a long time to elapse before sitting for the LCC-ST national
certification exam. This program is geared for those students and
it covers the needed knowledge and skills for the exam.
Admission Requirements
The applicant must provide a copy of Certification of the CAAHEP-accredited
surgical technology program from which he or she graduated. Upon
meeting this requirement, the potential student must participate
in an interview process.
