Here are some additional resources (especially for you seniors out there) that can assist you in your job search and career research.  

This page will provide you both general website information about job searching as well as specific sites according to specific majors.  Keep in mind that our link "What Can I do With This Major" as well as our Career Planning Guide are available on-line.  Both offers an abundance of information regarding types of opportunities in certain majors and specific information about resumes, cover letters, interview etiquette, thank you letters and dress code.

  • The Riley Guide - Comprehensive job search tools.  This page takes you to all the resources that will connect you to job leads or potential employers.
  • Wetfeet.com - Provides job seekers with information on companies, careers, and industries.  Experts advise, newsletters, salary benchmarking tools, and discussion boards on everything from negotiating a raise to writing better cover letters.
  • Idealist.org - Offers a Career Center that includes such topics as starting your job search, writing your resume, salary surveys, nonprofit employment, volunteer jobs as well as academic programs in your area of interest.
  • Flipdog.com - With more jobs from more employers in every category, FlipDog.com is the single largest employment search engine on the web.
  • America's Job Bank - Look for a job in all 50 states!  This site pulls out job vacancies posted with each state's department of labor office.
