Patricia Stephens, Director
Patricia Stephens is an
Assistant Professor in the Department of English. She holds
a doctorate in English Education from New York University.
Prior to her appointment as Director of the Writing Center
at LIU/Brooklyn, she worked for six years as Associate Director.
In addition to her work at the Writing Center, Professor
Stephens co-directs Gender Studies. Her research interests
include the history of composition, the politics of writing
program administration, educational history, and feminist
and queer theories.
Ann Larson , Associate Director
A graduate of the M.A program in English, Ann larson has began as the writing Center Associate Director in 2004. She is currently working on her PhD in English at the CUNY Graduate Center. She loves the writing center, especially the graduate students who make it so much fun!
