Week 2
The Hustlers 47 vs. Strait Bucketzz 46
Two winners of last week faced off the first game of the night.
This game brought lots of excitement. A buzzer beating shot took
the game into over time. Strait Bucketzz took an early lead and
managed to hold it until the first half (24-13). The Hustlers
started very sloppy and took them a little while to get back
on the game. Starting the second half, Hustlers scored 12 straight
points and managed to take the lead from Strait Bucketzz. Game
was tied at 37-37 with 40 seconds to go. Ren’s 3 pointers
gave Bucketzz lead with 3 seconds remaining of the game. However,
Kevin made a spectacular buzzer bitter shot and took the game
into over time. During the over time, both team played defensively
and the game came down to the final possession. The Hustlers
was leading by 1 point with 10 seconds remaining and Strait Bucketzz
could not get a shot off. Kevin scored 18 points for The Hustlers
and improves team record to a (2-0).
Ligths Out 41 vs. Top Shottas 36
Lights Out faced Top Shottas in the next game. Both these teams
lost their first game. Top Shottas had the same problem like last
week. Looks like to me they have lack of team work, Top Shottas
badly need to overcome this problem. titlehough Top Shottas fought
back in the second half of the game, but it was already too late.
Again there was no one to give support to Shamark. He was doing
almost everything; scoring, rebounding. Lights Out won there first
game (41-36). Joe scored 11 points for the winning side while Shamark
contributed 13 points for Top Shottas.
