WEEK THREE

BROOKLYN RUNNING REBELS 40 vs. BF FINEST 35
BK Finest leading scorer, Ramel Gonzalez opens the scoring with a drive to the basket on the tip off. It was a very even contest tied 10-10 midway through the first half. Brooklyn Running Rebels (BRR) took the lead 14-12 with 2:15 left in the half, BK Finest tied it up again at 14 with 1:00 remaining, then BK Finest’s Tarique Stewart hit trey from the corner to make it 17-14 with:45 left in the half BRR then went on a 5-0 run before Paul Foster hit a trey as time expired for BK Finest for a 19-17 score.
BRR’s Michael Pacheco extended their lead in the second half with a bucket to make it 21-17, BK Finest’s Paul Foster hit a trey to make it a 1 point game with 6:00 left, and they then went on a 6-0 run. BRR tied up the game at 31-31 before going on a 7-0 run of their own and held on for a 40-35 win. Gonzalez led BK Finest with 12 points while Lewis led BRR with 14.

 #1 34 vs. CROSS A FELLA 32
 Cross A Fella Marlon Zorton started the game with two treys to give them a 6-2 lead with 7:30 left in first half but #1 soon recovered and the first half was very evenly contested, the half came to an end with  #1 leading the score 15-13. High scorers were Zorton with 11 for Cross A Fella and three players with 4 apiece for #1.
#1’s Dwight McPheil like Zorton started the half with consecutive treys, for their biggest lead 23-17, after that it was closely contested like the first half. The score was 32-29 with 1:00 left, then 34-32 with 0:20 on the clock. #1 had a turnover and Cross A Fella in bounded with 0:03 on the clock but missed the final shot to either send it into overtime or win the game Marlon Zorton had a game high 23 points while Dwight McPheil led #1 with 13.

S.I.N.Y 43 vs. GET OFF ME 40
Get Off Me still looking for their first victory came out very aggressive and led through out the half, they were out 8-7 at midway through the first half, then a steal and lay up by Tahir Khan put them up 15-11. A trey by newcomer Vernon Steele put them up 22-17 with 0:10 left in the half. S.I.N.Y hit a bucket as time expired to go into the half trailing 22-19.
S.I.N.Y managed to tie up the score at 27-27 with 5:30 left in the game and got their first lead of the game midway in the second half 29-27, Get Off Me tied it back up at 31-31. S.I.N.Y then showed why they are one of the top teams in tournament by going on a 8-0 run but Get Off me was not going down without a fight and they came back with the score 43-40 with 0:06 on the clock they called a time out and the trey to tie the game hit the rim.

TEAM SMOOTH 45 vs. THA DYNASTY 19
Looking at both teams everyone expected this game to be like the other earlier three close but that certainly was not the case. Team Smooth started the game with an 8-0 run before Gibran Paschell got an offensive rebound and put it back in with 6:00 on the clock, it was the only points Tha Dynasty would have in the half as Team smooth went on another run 11-0 to end the half 19-2.
Tha Dynasty never got into their game plan; they just never recovered from the first half. Tyrone McCleese started the half with consecutive treys to extend their lead to 29-5. Team Smooth had three players scoring in double figures.
