WEEK FIVE

#1 35 vs. THA DYNASTY 26
Tha Dynasty for the second week really missed their two big play makers Jordan and Paschell both out due to injuries. They never got into rhythm in the first half and #1 was leading 5-1 with 5:00 left in the half then they went on a 7-0 run to increase their lead to 12-3 with 1:00 left, at the half the score was 16-5. Gordon Wilson had 7 points.
The second half was no different from the first #1 maintained their double digit lead 22-14 midway through the second half and the final score was 35-26, leading scorer was Dwight McPheil with 12 while Samson Rich had 11 in a losing effort for Tha Dynasty. Hopefully Tha Dynasty (1-4) gets their two big men back in two weeks when they face Get Off Me (1-4) in hopes of making the playoff. #1 (4-1) goes against BK Finest (1-4).

GET OFF ME 36 vs. BK FINEST 31
Once again Get Off Me started off very aggressive and had the lead 8-3 midway through the first half, it was not until the 1:30 mark that BK Finest got their first lead 14-12 on a Ramel Gonzalez basket, they held onto the lead the remainder of the half 18-14.
Get Off Me kept within striking distance throughout the second half even though trailing. With 1:15  Get Off Me struck, when Vernon Steele stole the ball and was fouled on way to basket he made both free throws to put Get Off Me up 32-31 they then went on a 5-0 run to end the game and their first win 36-31.
Get Off Me (1-4) faces Tha Dynasty (1-4) a win for any team would keep their playoff hopes alive. BK Finest (1-4) faces #1 (4-1).

BROOKLYN RUNNING REBELS (BRR) 35 vs. CROSS A FELLA 30
Cross A Fella most certainly missed their leading scorer and play maker Marlon Zorton, but they were still able to keep the game close during the first half thanks to Antoine Bryan who picked up his scoring and had the lead at the half 18-17 with Bryan netting 11.
BRR was also without their leading scorer Gary Lewis and Shawn Cooper picked up his scoring in the second half and made the difference in the game, he netted 11 of his team high 18 points in the second half. BRR went on a 6-0 run with 3:30 on the clock to pull away and hold on for the win 35-30.
BRR (3-2) faces S.I.N.Y (4-1) next while Cross A Fella goes up against Team Smooth (4-1).

TEAM SMOOTH 46 vs. S.I.N.Y 27
These were the top two teams vying for that number one position, unfortunately S.I.N.Y were once again missing their big guys. The game was very evenly matched with a few lead changes at the half led 18-16.
Team Smooth settled dawn and opened the second half with a 6-0 run, then at the at the 5:00 mark Shamark Limehouse had a dunk that sent the crowd into a frenzy and Aaron Lewis on the next trip down the court hit a trey to make the score 39-24. Team Smoot then went on a 16-0 run to put the game out of reach and hold on for the win 46-27.
Team Smooth (4-1) faces #1 (4-1) another game for the top seeded position in the playoffs, while S.I.N.Y (4-1) goes against BRR (3-2) another future playoff match up
