Week 8 Playoff
 Dat Deal 38 vs. Lights Out 34
Both the teams faced each other last week in their regular season
game. The game was really entertaining. Tonight they faced again
in the first playoff. It was still fresh on Lights Out mind about
last week defeat. They started to play offensively at the beginning
of the game and scored 10 points while kept Dat Deal scoreless.
It took a little while for Dat Deal to organize themselves. At
the half, Dat Deal managed to take two points lead. As the game
approaching towards the end, it was getting more competitive.
Game was tied 32–32 at 1:41 left of the game. In less then
a minute left Lights out managed to take two points led, however,
Dawans free throw tied the game again at 34-34. Ryan missed two
important free throws while Dawan blocked a shot at the very
last minute gave Dat Deal the opportunity to win the game. Dwayne
did his part by scoring the last four points to help secure a
well-deserved win for Dat Deal. Dwayne scored game high 15 points.
 X Birds 33 vs. 80 Grand 32
Second playoff featured X Birds vs. 80 Grand. Both teams were ready
to give there all out effort to advance in the NBNL Sp’04
final. X Birds started the game with an attacking fashion and
took 11-1 lead, however, 80 Grand quickly got back on the game
and managed to cut the deficit to two points (9-11). Later on
the first half, both teams kept exchanging the lead. 80 Grand’s
Kevin scored 11 out of 19 points of his team’s first half
score. During the second half, 80 Grand managed to take 6 points
lead but could not hold it for long because of their own mistake.
Couple of missed free throws and some unacceptable errors caused
them to lead and help X Birds to get back on the game. Scott
Gomez showed his power and scored precious 3 points at the very
end of the game. 80 Grand did have the last opportunity to bring
the game on their side when 11 seconds on the clock but X Birds
defense was too good for them to beat. Kevin scored game high
16 points.
