Week 4
In the fourth week of the Nothing But Net Basketball League
four teams had the night off. The
rest was needed for several players who are suffering from injuries.
The teams that played this week were the Untouchables
and the Blazers. This game was over early when Blazers
leading scorer John Gill did not bring his 18.5 points to
the game. The Untouchables pressed the entire game and forced
many turnovers.
 Without
Blazers' big man and leading scorer John Gill the Untouchables
had a major height advantage. The Untouchables used their
strengths to their ability and walked away with a 40-29 victory
improving their record to 2-1. Greg Perkins
and Mike Woods scored 14 points apiece.
Cory Brown and Jeff Michele provided good backcourt play
for the Untouchables, setting up
their big men for easy buckets. However, the Untouchables needed
a full court press, double, even trip team to slow down Shamark
Limehouse who scored a 20 of the Blazers 29 points.
The Blazers' Shamark Limehouse was a one man show leading
all scorers, the Blazers still have a chance to make the
playoffs with a record of 1-2.
