2005: Appeared in 11 games on the mound, making one start... Pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings while earning the victory in relief against Coppin State (3/31)... Had two consecutive outings in which he retired the only two men he faced (4/19 against Saint Peter’s, 4/30 against Central Connecticut State)... Made his first career start against Villanova (5/3), pitching six innings of four-hit baseball while allowing three runs.

Background: Helped lead Morristown High School to the 2004 Group IV state championship with a 3-2 record, two saves and a 3.17 ERA... Morristown was tabbed the Daily Record Team of the Year that season... Posted a 4-2 record on the hill in 2003... Played AAU ball for the Morristown Legion club... Played quarterback for the football team, guiding it to the North Jersey Section I, Group IV championship game in 2003.
