Matt Wilson Finishes Fifth at Leo Keenan Invitational

9/26/06 -- Senior Matt Wilson closed with an even-par 70 to finish in fifth place at the St. Bonaventure Leo Keenan Invitational in Olean, N.Y. on Monday afternoon.

The left-handed player shot 143 over the two-round event to finish nine shots off the pace. Bryan Bigley of Siena finished at six-under-par to take home the individual title by three strokes.

As a team, the Blackbirds finished in 11th place at 609, two shots behind Northeast Conference member Robert Morris.

Senior Patrick Kelly (Brisbane, Australia) was Long Island's next best performer, finishing in 11th place at 146.

LIU continues its season at the Army Mulekicker Classic in West Point, N.Y. on October 6-9.
