a 21-4 loss to reigning Northeast Conference champion Mount
St.
Mary's

Emmitsburg,
Md.
Junior Tina Prickett
(Eldora, N.J.) gave the Blackbirds (4-9, 3-4 NEC) a 1-0 lead
93 seconds into the contest on a free-position goal. But the
Mountaineers (10-5, 6-1 NEC) rattled off the next eight goals,
including four from Kirby Day, for an 8-1 lead.
Sophomore Kayleigh
Graves (Orlando, Fla.) and junior Ashley Cockram (Orlando,
Fla.) also scored for LIU as did sophomore Amy Rizzo (Jackson,
N.J.), who netted her 42nd goal of the season to add to her
school-record total.
Senior Patricia
Parker (Long Branch, N.J.) made 11 saves and Rizzo fired 11
shots for the Blackbirds. Prickett closed with three ground
balls and junior Nichole Lopez (Highland Mills, N.Y.) won three
draw controls.
LIU continues its
four-game road trip Sunday against Wagner, beginning at 1:00
