8/31/06 -- Senior Evan Meekins (East Providence, R.I.) knocked down four three-pointers en route to a game-high 18 points as LIU finished its Italian Tour 3-1 with an 82-59 victory over Stella Azzura.

Classmate James Williams (DeSoto, Texas) added 16 points and sophomore swingman Donovin McLendon tallied 12 for the Blackbirds.

LIU shot 46 percent in the first half and limited Stella Azzurra to 29.7 percent from the field as the squad built a 42-28 halftime advantage.

Senior Aubin Scott (Hempstead, N.J.) contributed nine points and a team-best 12 rebounds while senior forward Kellen Allen (Mansfield, Texas) hauled in 10 boards.
