9/1/06 -- The Long Island University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to New Hampshire on Friday afternoon at the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H.

The Blackbirds outshot the Wildcats, 11-6, but could not find the back of the net as they fell to 1-2 on the season.

New Hampshire got on the board just five minutes into the match, as Kyle Urso beat junior goalkeeper Jeremy Wimer (Shreveport, La.) unassisted for his first goal of the season. The Wildcats would tally again in the period, as Bryan Stewart took a feed from Adam Marcellus to pad their lead to 2-0.

Wimer made three stops in the contest for LIU, who will face Binghamton in the second game of the tournament on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 12:30 p.m.
