all 15 games he played in at a central midfield position...
Had four assists and registered 25 shots, third-most on the
team... Had three shots in back-to-back games against NJIT (9/10)
and Sacred Heart (9/29)... Also tallied three shots against
Quinnipiac (10/6) and Monmouth (10/20).
As a Freshman in 2005:
Missed
the first six games of the season... Netted
his first career goal just four minutes into the second
half in a 2-1 victory over Adelphi (9/28)... Had season-high
four
shots at Mount St. Mary's (10/9)... Recorded three
consecutive games in which he tallied a point (10/30-11/6)...
Had an assist
against Quinnipiac (10/30) and Robert Morris (11/4)
and a goal in the season finale against St. Francis
(Pa.) (11/6).
High School and Personal:
Reached the highest level as
a youth player in America, being named
to the top 18 on
the U-14 national team... Joined the BW Gottschee club team
at age 9, competing on four state championship squads and
one state finalist... Also played for the Brooklyn Knights
in the
Super-Y League and trained with Paris St. Germai, one of
France’s
top First Division teams that featured Brazilian superstar
Ronaldinho... Also competed against Manchester United (England),
Atlas (Mexico) and Ajax (Holland)... Scored 28 goals in 2003,
leading Flushing High School to a 13-2 record and was named
Newsday Player of the Year... Has an older brother, Sabir,
who played at LIU from 1997-99. |
