behind the play of Sara Oblak who finished with a 'double-double'

16 points and 10 rebounds
in her return home.
Despite a slow start, the Blackbirds took an 11 point lead into
the half and never looked back. Dominating the boards, four Blackbirds
finished with four or more rebounds. Marquita Thompson finished
the night with 16 pts, eight rebounds, and three assists while
Masa Susic and Mikealar Whippy had 12 pts and 11 pts, respectively.
The Blackbirds registered a 76-48 triumph over Splicanka in Split, Croatia. Junior
Michaela
Whippy had a strong
performance,
finishing with 15 pts, 12 rebounds and four assists.
Thompson added 15 points and teammate Masa Susic knocked down four 3-pointers,
chipping
in 14 points.
LIU remains undefeated in European play and ‘nests’ in
Dubrovnik, Croatia for a three-game series against the
Ragusa Dubrovnik club team Saturday evening.
