Day 10
Let me start off by saying that Croatia is “B-E-A utiful” in
the words of Brittani Kozik. The Villa we are staying
in is very nice, the weather is great and the landscape is amazing.
We are practically staying on the coast, near beautiful beaches;
it just doesn’t get much better than that. The water is “aqua
blue”, unlike the Coney Island back home.
Today was bitter sweet. We won our last game against Dubrovnik which left us
undefeated in Europe. Whippy started us off by scoring like the first ten points.
Then Masa
put us over the top with her amazing three-pointers and I ended the game by scoring
our 100th point of a free throw.
After the game reality started to set in; it was the last time that this exact
group would be together. Amra, our GA, left us tonight. I wish her the best in
the future and we’re going to miss her. (I wonder how study hall will be
next year, luckily for me I won’t have it!).
To end the night on a happier note, most of the team went to the apartment that
some
of
Dubrovnik’s players live in and we had a lot of fun. It’s sad that
today was our last day but you know the saying “Everything good must come
to an end” and on that note, I am out, or as we’ve been saying in
Europe… Chiao!
