Women's Tennis Defeated, 5-2, by Radford University

3/16/05 -- Long Island University was defeated by Radford, 5-2, in in women’s college tennis action in Orlando, Fla. on Wednesday.

Sophomore Merve Koksal (Ankara, Turkey) captured a victory at No. 1 singles and sophomore Xenia Roman (Vera Cruz, Mexico) won at the fifth spot for the Blackbirds' two points.

LIU dropped all three doubles matches and fell to 8-5 overall and 3-3 in the spring season. The Blackbirds return to New York to begin Northeast Conference play Friday, April 1, against Sacred Heart.
