.Students interested in history who
want a multi-disciplinary program that views society through the
integrated perspective of several social sciences may take a Master
of Science in Social Science with a concentration in history. Program
requirements are:
1. With a thesis, twelve credits in history, including a
three-credit seminar involving a project, field experience or case
study.
Without a thesis, a comprehensive exam and an additional
six credits in history are required, plus a research project (completed
for Social Science 701) approved by the History Department.
2. Six credits in another social science;
3. Six credits of interdisciplinary study: Social Science 701
and statistics;
4. Electives (maximum six credits).
