Areas of Expertise
Professor Agrait is a specialist in medieval Spain, specifically the kingdom of Castile in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.  His dissertation and subsequent research has focused on military practice and institutions in Castile during the first half of the fourteenth century.  He is currently working on articles related to the Battle of Salado (1340), a historiographical essay of medieval military studies in Spain over the past two decades, and an article on military intelligence in fourteenth century Spain.  His long term projects include a military history of Castile from 1284-1350.
