Celia S. Lichtman
Celia S. Lichtman holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from New York University. She is Professor of Foreign Languages and Literatures and Chair of the Department. She teaches courses in Beginning, intermediate and advanced Spanish as well Spanish for Spanish Speakers, Twentieth century Spanish literature, Latin American and Contemporary Puerto Rican literature. Her research interests include the poetry of Franciso Garcia Lorca, Women writers of Latin America, Hispanic gay and lesbian writers, the literature of revolution and Hispanic culture. She has also taught honors courses on Peru and Mexico. She has participated in several successful conferences on campus , including one on Jorge Luis Borges and on literature and Film.
