Costa Rica in July

Global College offers a six-credit four-week summer programs in Heredia, Costa Rica. In July, students take a Spanish language course for 3 credits and a Sociology of Conflict course for 3 credits. Matriculated Global College and non-Global College students may participate in this short-term program. Contact Global College Admissions for more details.

Dewitt Wallace Scholarship

A $5,000 scholarship is available to all participating Long Island University, LaGuardia Community College, Kingsborough Community College, Nassau Community College, and Suffolk Community College students who meet eligibility requirements. The total cost of the entire program, including tuition (6 credits), room/board, airfare, books, field trips and personal expense money is approximately $7,200. This scholarship will cover 70% of the costs-student contribution is approximately $2200. Please note this figure is approximate due to flight availability and pricing as well as individual student needs.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
A minimum of 30 credits (or close to it)
Average annual family income less than $75,000
Ability to raise balance of program cost (approx. $2,200) not covered by the Scholarship
