This 36-credit program provides an advanced educational
experience for allied Health professionals. The curriculum
addresses not only the traditional areas of Athletic Training,
but also the additional regions, such as Pathology and Pharmacology,
that have been recently identified as important to Athletic
Trainers. Professional applicants, such as Certified Athletic
Trainers, Physical Therapists, Registered Nurses, Physicians
Assistants and/or Occupational Therapists, have the opportunity
to gain knowledge through our challenging coursework. This
includes neuroscience and advanced sports medicine, where
preserved cadaver sections are dissected.
In order to individualize programs of study, the students
have the opportunity to expand their knowledge through their
choice from our extensive selection of electives. As well,
each individual has the choice of two options as a culminating
experience. These options may be selected according to educational
background, career goals and professional interests.
Courses are taught by a variety of well-educated and experienced
professors, highly proficient and well regarded in their respective
fields. Through the use of state-of-the-art laboratories,
students will participate in a dynamic educational experience.
Most courses will qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEU's).

Appropriately qualified individuals may be selected for a
Teaching Fellowship or Graduate Assistantship. Teaching Fellows
are an integral part of the Athletic Training and Sports Sciences
programs framework. They work directly with the professors
to enhance the learning process. Graduate Assistants work
