Evangelos Pappas is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at the School of health Professions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Thessaloniki, Greece, a Master of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac College, CT and a PhD in Orthopedic Biomechanics from New York University. He has extensive clinical experience in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Professor Pappas is the recipient of the Gerondelis Foundation Graduate Education Award and the Quinnipiac College Graduate Education Award. In 2001 he became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS). Teaching responsibilities at Long Island University are in the areas of Kinesiology, Musculoskeletal Pathology, and Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy. Research interests are in the areas of prevention of athletic injuries, investigation of mechanisms of knee injuries in female athletes, motion analysis, reliability and validity of orthopedic clinical tests.
