Michael Masaracchio, PT, DPT, MS, OCS

Michael Masaracchio is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy in the School of health Professions. He holds a TDPT from Creighton University (2005), a Master of Science degree from Long Island University (2001), and a Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University (2001). Michael also has an academic appointment at the College of Staten Island as an adjunct Assistant Professor, where he teaches anatomy and kinesiology.
Primary clinical experience is in the area of orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Teaching responsibilities at Long Island University include anatomy, biomechanics, and physical therapy changes across the lifespan. In addition, Michael is the Coordinator of the Human Anatomy Lab at Long Island University. Additional interests include spinal manipulation and manual therapy. Michael is a certified orthopedic clinical specialist from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) (2004). In addition to academic work, Michael maintains clinical practice hours where he specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries. Michael has given continuing education courses on anatomy, biomechanics and treatment of selected shoulder and knee pathologies.
