Yasser Salem is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at the School of health Professions. Dr. Salem received his PhD in physical therapy from the University of Central Arkansas and his professional physical therapy education and advanced Master of Science from Cairo University.
In 2006 Yasser successfully completed the requirements for board certification in pediatric physical therapy granted by the American Physical Therapy Association; he is board-certified as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist.
In 2004 Yasser successfully completed the requirements for board certification in pediatric physical therapy granted by the American Physical Therapy Association; he is board-certified as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist.
His research focuses on motor control, skill acquisition and movement analysis. Teaching responsibilities at Long Island University are in the areas of neuroscience, neurology, pediatrics, motor control and movement analysis.
