  • Message from the Alumni Association President George Pagano

Welcome to the official website of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Alumni Association. We are off to a great start in developing a strong, dynamic, and active association. Our first event was a very successful dinner and fundraiser held on campus. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with each other and talk about future events.

My hope is to further develop an association that is as unique as the program we graduated from. In order to do this I need your support and commitment as well.

Along with the other officers, I will work on ways in which the alumni can stay connected with each other, continue to grow professionally and stay current on professional issues. It will also be an association that will give back to the community in ways that we will develop together.

  • Membership Q & A

  • How to join the Alumni Association?
Every student that graduates from the Communication Sciences and Disorders Graduate Program is automatically enrolled in the Alumni Association.
  • Are there fees to join?
There are no fees to join and be part of the Alumni Association.
  • What are the benefits of joining the alumni association?
There are many benefits of belonging to the Alumni Association. It is an organization in which classmates and faculty can stay connected to each other. It is also a good opportunity to network and meet fellow alumni who have graduated from the same program as you did.
There will also be lectures and CEU so that alumni can stay current with issues related to the profession and also obtain CEU's for ASHA and NYS licensure. Most importantly, there will be fundraising events and activities so that we can give back to the community.
  • What is the time commitment?
The time commitment will vary with each alumnus. Some alumni may wish to be on committees and devote some time to planning and organizing events. Others may not have much time to devote, but would like to attend events and activities.
