Message
Dear Prospective Student:
Welcome to the Long Island University,
Brooklyn Campus, School of Nursing website. We are very pleased
you have chosen to view this site. The School of Nursing is a
wonderful place to pursue your professional nursing education.
As you embark upon this journey, we are available to assist you
at every turn. The profession of nursing is becoming more exciting
and dynamic each day and your educational path here is designed
to prepare you for the challenge of nursing in the 21st century.
We offer a wide variety of programs, from the generic baccalaureate,
nursing program, through the RN/BS Connection, to the Master of
Science Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Executive programs. Our greatest
asset, our faculty are well-prepared clinicians, scholars, and
academicians who will help guide you through the professional
phase of your program. Our academic advisors and staff are on
hand to help you throughout your entire course of study.
One of our major strengths is our clinical affiliations. The City
of New York, and the borough of Brooklyn in particular, offer
every type of experience available, from world-class teaching,
medical centers to neighborhood storefronts. This allows us to
offer clinical placements that are diverse and stimulating.
We hope you find the School of Nursing and Long Island University
