PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

Bachelor or Science in Nursing ("Generic") – for full, part time,& part-time evening/weekend undergraduate students.  Includes the equivalent of two years of pre-professional and liberal arts courses and two years of entry-level professional courses to prepare graduates for state licensure.  A foundation for future graduate study is provided.

RN-BS Connection Program For licensed registered nurses who have been graduated from diploma or associate degree programs, or who are foreign educated, wishing to obtain the Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing.  May require the completion of prerequisite courses and liberal arts requirements.  Students in this program may elect an accelerated course of study into the MS degree programs.

BS/MS Accelerated Programs for licensed registered nurses with an associate degree who wish to fulfill career goals by combining the baccalaureate and master’s degree with a major in nursing.  The program is a 160-credit program leading to an M.S.with a major in nursing in either the Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Executive track. 

Master of Science Degree and Post Master’s Certficate Preparing the  Nurse Practtioner (as Adult , Family or Gerontological Nurse Practitioner)  -for registered nurses with a nursing or non-nursing baccalaureate degree or a Master's degree in nursing. Prepares nurses for New York State certification as a nurse practioner. Three tracks are available: Priamry Care of the Adult, Priamr Care of the Family and Primary Care of the Geriatric Client.

Master of Science Executive Program for Nursing and Health Care Management: The Executive Program for Nursing & Health Care Management provides advanced nursing content and understanding of complex nursing issues through courses taught by both Nursing and Business faculty. It prepares nurse for leadership positions in hospitals, nursing homes, community health centers, HMOs, home care agencies, consulting firms and entrepreneurial ventures.
