DR.
JACK M. ROSENBERG is a professor
of pharmacy practice and pharmacology and director
of the International Drug Information Center
(IDIC). Dr. Rosenberg joined the
College in 1972 and is considered nationally
as one of the pioneers who established the concept
of the pharmacist-manned drug information center.
Dr. Rosenberg earned his B.S. in pharmacy
from the Albany College of Pharmacy, M.S. in hospital
pharmacy from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, Pharm.D.
from the University of Michigan and Ph.D. (pharmacology)
from St. John’s University.
Dr. Rosenberg’s professional
experience is quite diverse. Early in his career he
owned his own community pharmacy, and later was director
of pharmacy at Valley Hospital, NJ. He is a tenured
professor and serves as a consultant pharmacist to
a number of area nursing homes. In addition, Dr. Rosenberg
serves on numerous national advisory committees including
the trade magazine Drug Topics. He has published
over 150 papers and five books. He served as a visiting
professor to the Republic of South Africa. Dr. Rosenberg
is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey,
and Florida.

DR.
JOSEPH P. NATHAN is an assistant
professor of pharmacy practice. Dr.
Nathan is an alumnus of the Arnold & Marie Schwartz
College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where he
earned his B.S. in pharmacy and an M.S. degree in
drug information. He completed his Pharm.D. at the
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After
six years as a clinical pharmacist at Maimonides
Medical Center in Brooklyn, Dr. Nathan joined the
IDIC as a drug information specialist. His other
professional accomplishments include successfully
maintaining simultaneous practices in academic, hospital,
and community pharmacy settings as well as serving
as a consultant pharmacist to long-term-care facilities.
Dr. Nathan also serves as an editor and a reviewer
for a number of professional publications and has
authored or co-authored many articles on issues affecting
the profession of pharmacy. His research interests
include drug information centers and services as
well as patient drug information literacy.

DR. TINA ZERILLI is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice. She is an alumna of the College of Pharmacy, graduating summa cum laude and with the College’s Gold Medal in the first entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy degree class. She joined the staff at the IDIC in July 2002 as a drug information specialist.
Dr. Zerilli is a member of Rho Chi, the Academic Honor Society in Pharmacy and is a licensed pharmacist in the state of New York. She has served as a consultant to a long-term care facility in addition to working in a community pharmacy setting. Dr. Zerilli also serves as a reviewer for various professional publications and has contributed to the scientific literature in various capacities. Her research interests revolve around the use of drug information resources by both healthcare professionals and the lay public although she also strives to contribute to the scientific literature as it pertains globally to clinical pharmacy practice.

DR. SARA SCHILIT joined the faculty of the College of Pharmacy as a drug information specialist and an adjunct assistant professor of pharmacy practice. She is an alumna of the College of Pharmacy, graduating summa cum laude in May 2007, and a recipient of the College’s Anderson Gold Medal. In addition to her work at the college, Dr. Schilit practices as a consultant pharmacist for an organization that provides service to developmentally challenged children and adults. She is a member of Rho Chi, the Pharmacy Honor Society.

MR. RAGHAVENDRA CHEDE is a teaching assistant at the International Drug Information Center. Concurrently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University, in the department of Pharmaceutics. After receiving his Bachelor of Pharmacy in India, Mr. Chede pursued advanced studies and obtained a Masters of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Technology in India. He previously worked as a project trainee at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology in Hyderabad, India, where he was involved in various research projects of international repute.

MR. BHAUMIK T. PATEL joined the International Drug Information Center in January 2008 as a teaching assistant. He is currently pursuing an M.S. degree at the University, in the department of Industrial Pharmacy. Mr. Patel received his Bachelor of Pharmacy in India, where he presented seminars on “Sterile Products” and “Controlled Release Technology and Drug Targeting.”

MS. MAITRI TRIVEDI is a teaching assistant at the International Drug Information Center. She earned a B.S. in pharmacy from Gujarat University, India, and an M.S. in pharmaceutics from S.P. University in India, graduating as the Gold Medalist. Ms. Trivedi has lectured to pharmacy students in India on Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics at Long Island University.
