Brooklyn, N.Y. The School of Business, Public Administration
and Information Sciences at the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University
will hold an Open House on Wednesday, March 12 from 4 p.m. to
7 p.m. in the Campuss Salena Gallery. All students interested
in undergraduate programs in business and computer science are invited
to attend.
The School offers bachelors degree programs in Accounting,
Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, Management and Marketing,
and also offers a two-year associates degree in Business Administration.
Academic advisors are assigned to all students to help them make
the right choices throughout their college education, and the Campus
offers many clubs, organizations and events to provide personal
and professional development. Free career services and job placement
are available.
The Brooklyn Campus is an excellent choice for any student who
wants to stay in the metropolitan New York area for his or her college
education but also wants the personal touch that our close community
provides. It is part of the MetroTech Business Improvement District,
just minutes from Wall Street, allowing students to pursue internships
and employment opportunities in business, technology and government.
Though the Campus serves more than 11,000 students, the average
class size is only 22 students.
Faculty and students will be on hand to discuss the programs at
the open house. Representatives from admissions and financial aid
will be available to answer questions as well.

Long Island University opened its Brooklyn Campus in 1926, welcoming
a diverse population at a time when other major universities enforced
quota systems against racial and ethnic minorities. Some 30,000
students currently are enrolled at the universitys three residential
and three regional campuses, including nearly 11,000 at the Brooklyn
Campus. Located at the corner of Flatbush Avenue Extension and DeKalb
Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, the Campus is accessible to all major
bus and subway routes and the Long Island Rail Road.
