Executives from Merrill Lynch and Sovereign Bank Join Advisory Board for
School of Business At Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The School of Business, Public Administration and Information Sciences at Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus has expanded its board of advisers with two leading executives in the fields of banking and investment.

The new advisory board members are Michael A. Noone, vice president at Merrill Lynch and an alumnus of the Business School, and Mary Gelormino, senior vice president/regional executive at Sovereign Bank.

Noone is vice president of investments and a wealth management adviser for Merrill Lynch in Red Bank, N.J. With professional certificates from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the School of Advanced Financial Management, Noone has a business administration degree from Hawthorne College and an M.B.A. degree with distinction from Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1982.

Gelormino oversees business development in the New York metropolitan area for Sovereign Bank, which she joined this summer. Previously, she was a senior vice president and client relations manager for Bank of America, working with Middle Market firms in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Prior to that, she spent 25 years at Fleet Bank and its predecessors NatWest and NBNA. A Brooklyn resident, Gelormino has professional certificates from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, American Institute of Banking and the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship. She received her bachelor's and M.B.A. degrees from New York University.
