HOW YOU CAN ESTABLISH AN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
You can permanently designate and name an endowed scholarship at any campus and in any academic program offered by the University.
The minimum contribution to establish an endowed scholarship is $25,000. You may use cash, stocks or bonds to make your gift. Paid in full, your contribution underwrites the scholarship immediately. You also have the option to make a multi-year pledge and take up to five years to fulfill your contribution. Until the pledge is completed, $1,000 will be awarded based on the criteria you establish. Thereafter 5% of the fund or approximately $1,250 from a $25,000 Endowed Scholarship will be awarded. You may make additional gifts to your scholarship fund at any time. All gifts are 100% tax-deductible.
For more information, please contact the Stewardship Office at (516) 299-3369 or mary.kitevski@liu.edu.
Long Island University opened its Brooklyn Campus in 1926, welcoming a diverse population at a time when other major universities enforced quota systems against racial and ethnic minorities. Located at the corner of Flatbush Avenue Extension and DeKalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, the Campus is accessible to all major bus and subway routes and the Long Island Rail Road.
