AQUATICS - SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR

Heather Wolfe

Heather Wolfe is a student athlete from Long Island University. She is a certified Swim Instructor, Lifeguard and Waterfront Lifeguard. She has been lifeguarding for 5 years and teaching swim lessons for 3 years. She is the Lead Swim Instructor at Brighton Recreation where the program has grown tremendously, along with teaching swim lessons at Rush-Henrietta Continuing Education. For two years, she has also been involved in a row in the Lifeguard Challenge, where lifeguards all across Monroe County go head to head, with the American Red Cross as the judges. She is very ambitious instructor who loves her job at the pool and loves a good challenge!

Jessica Bruny

Jessica is a trained in Water Safety Instruction and the Fundamentals of Instructing. She has taught both group and private swimming lessons, in addition to training individuals for triathlons. She’s worked at public pools, the YWCA, YMCA, and currently at the LIU’s Wellness Center.  She believes swimming is fun and brings that attitude with her when instructing.

Stephanie Matos

Stephanie Matos is a certified American Red Cross Water safety Instructor.  For 3 years she has taught both group and private swimming lessons to individuals of all ages.  She has also worked as a lifeguard in various pools around the New York city area including the New York Sports Club, Hotels and condominiums.   In addition to her work as a lifeguard, Stephanie has also worked as a personal trainer for 2 years and incorporates her knowledge into her aqua aerobic classes. Stephanie enjoys being in the water and believe everyone all ages should integrate swimming in their daily life.

Erid Ceballos

Erid is a Water Safety Instructor and YMCA Fundamentals of Swimming Instructor. He began his aquatics career for New York City Department of Parks and Recreation in 1999; worked for both beaches and pools throughout New York City. He gained most of instructional training at the YWCA in Brooklyn and the YMCA of Greater New York. Since then he has been unable to stay away from the water and believes swimming enlightens the mind, body and spirit.
