Group Exercise Classes - General Policies

►  You MUST have your LIU ID & swipe at the Fitness Desk before entering the studio.
►  The use of cell phones and/or camera devices is strictly prohibited.
►  Bringing water and towels are recommended.
►  Let your instructor know if you have any medical conditions or are pregnant.
►  For safety reasons, there is no admittance 10 minutes after class begins.
►  Please put all equipment away when done.
►  Please be quiet and respectful outside of the studio.

 

Group Exercise Classes [Summer ‘08] 

AM Abs / Lunch Crunch                   
Strengthen your core, flatten and tone your abs and and strengthen your lower back, in this quick 20 minute class which focuses on core exercise.

Total Body by Nantesha / Kareem             
This class is an interval training session for the entire body. A cardio and strengthening routine to get you in and out feeling worked and energized. 

Pilates by Elgin          
Pilates, the focus of this discipline is to strengthen and stretch the abdomen and torso by solely using the body. Technique involves proper breathing and control over various muscles.
                                  
Yoga by Sarah & Jessica      
Ideal for those seeking a more fitness-based version of yoga. Based on vinyasa and hatha style, this total mind and body workout improves functional strength, flexibility, muscle balance and relaxation. Multi-level options make it suitable for all fitness levels. 

Cardio Kickboxing by  Michele                        
Cardio kickboxing is a combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts, put together in a fun and intense workout.

Hip Hop Dance/Cardio Kickbox by Tasha       
This is a great cardio class which is based on hip-hop dance/kickboxing movements, great if you want to get a great workout and learn some new moves for the dance floor.
